Laura Garavaglia is a prominent Italian poet, translator,
and cultural organizer. She founded «La Casa della
Poesia di Como» and directs the International Poetry
Festival «Europa in versi». Her poetr y collections have
been translated into over a dozen languages,
highlighting her global reach. As a dedicated translator,
she promotes international poetry and has edited
several books. A member of the PEN Club and the
European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Literature,
she is widely recognized for her significant contribution
to literature, receiving numerous awards and an
Honorary Degree from Ukraine.
Η Λάουρα Γκαραβάλια είναι εξέχουσα Ιταλίδα ποιήτρια, μεταφράστρια και πολιτιστική διοργανώτρια. Ίδρυσε το «La Casa della Poesia di Como» και διευθύνει το Διε- θνές Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης «Europa in versi». Οι ποιητικές της συλλογές έχουν μεταφραστεί σε πάνω από δώδεκα γλώσσες, αναδεικνύοντας την παγκόσμια εμβέλειά της. Ως μεταφράστρια, προωθεί τη διεθνή ποίηση και έχει επιμεληθεί πολλά βιβλία. Μέλος του PEN Club και της Ευρωπαϊκής Ακαδημίας Επιστημών, Τεχνών και Λογοτε- χνίας, είναι ευρέως αναγνωρισμένη για τη σημαντική συμβολή της στη λογοτεχνία, έχοντας λάβει πολλά βραβεία και τιμητικό δίπλωμα από την Ουκρανία.
Don Schofield lives in both Athens and Thessaloniki. His most recent poetry collections are A Different Heaven: New & Selected Poems (Dos Madres Press, 2023) and The Flow of Wonder (Kelsay Books, 2018). He is a recipient of, among others, the Allen Ginsberg Award (US) and the John D. Criticos Prize (UK). His poems and translations have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and the Greek National Translation Award.
