Ο Γιώργος Αλβέρτης (Ποταμιά Τήνου, 1951) σπούδασε στη Σορβόνη γαλλική, ελληνική, ισπανική και συγκριτική φιλολογία. Καθηγητής φιλόλογος στο Λεόντειο μέχρι το 2014, αναλαμβάνοντας διάφορες θέσεις διοίκησης. Το συγγραφικό του έργο που περιλαμβάνει μυθιστορήματα, ποιητικές συλλογές, λευκώματα, θεατρικά και μελέτες ποιητών που συνόδευε με μουσικές εκδηλώσεις στο σχολείο. Ζει στην Τήνο όπου συνεχίζει να συμμετέχει στα πολιτιστικά δρώμενα του νησιού.
George Alvertis (Potamia, Tinos, 1951) went to school at Leonteios School of Athens. In 1965 he went to France where he studied Philosophy, French, Greek, Spanish, and Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne Institute. He worked as a teacher of French studies at Leonteios School until 2014, taking on various administrative positions. He writings include novels, poetry collections, albums, plays and studies of poets, which he accompanies with musical events. He lives in Tinos where he continues to take part in the cultural events of the island.
