Γεννήθηκε στην Ιερουσαλήμ. Ποιήτρια και πολιτιστι- κή παραγωγός με έδρα την Αθήνα. Δύο συλλογές ποίησης, Στην Εποχή των Βερίκοκων και Jamila. Ποιή- ματά της σε διεθνή περιοδικά. Συμμετείχε στο Φεστιβάλ της Αβινιόν και στο Ινστιτούτο Αραβικού Κόσμου. Τα έργα της έχουν μεταφραστεί στα αγγλικά, γαλλικά, ισπανικά, γερμανικά, σουηδικά, ελληνικά και ιταλικά. Είναι διευθύντρια του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Αθήνας για την Παλαιστίνη και ιδρύτρια του Dounias.
Carol Sansour, born in Jerusalem, is a poet and cultural producer based in Athens. Two poetry collections, In the Time of the Apricots and Jamila. Her poetry has been featured in international journals and has been showcased at Festival d’Avignon and the Institut du Monde Arabe. Her works have been translated into English, French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Greek, and Italian. She is the director of the Athens Palestine Film Festival and the founder of Dounias, a non-profit organization dedicated to producing and exhibiting Palestinian and Arab art and culture in Greece.
